Like row sliced meat,fish, all kinds of veg,etc... The cooked food is often eaten with a dipping sauce for additional flavoring. Hot pot cooked manner is similar to fondue, but use a water based soup to varied different kinds soup,like chicken,pork,mushroom,tomato,or spicy broth.
Hot pot is a Chinese cooking process. A big pot is set in the center of the table containing boiling hot broth with a heating element underneath. Various raw ingredients are served around the pot, such as thinly sliced meat, seafood, vegetables, tofu, dumplings, and noodles. you cook the ingredients in the broth and eat them with a dipping sauce.

How long should you cook the ingredients
When the broth start to boiling
Sliced meat: 8-10 seconds, until colour turns to brown
Sliced fish: around 1min
Beef tongue: 10-15 seconds
Fishballs:3-5mins, when you saw it's floating on the broth, ready to eat
Tofu product:3-5 mins
Lotus roots, sliced photos, winter-melon: 2-3 mins
Chinese cabbage: 3 mins
Chinese lettuce: 1 min
Noodles:2-3mins
